The Toronto Feminist Mothers are made up of a fluid membership of self-identified mother-feminists or feminist-mothers. Discussions range from definitions of feminism, how to enact positive and sustainable change, imagining how a world structured in a radically different way would affect parenting and more. Of particular concern is the impact of messages from the media and institutions that construct people in opposition to each other rather than celebrating differences and the beauty of diversities.
The group stays connected via email where books, art and news that promote exclusion of non-accepted forms of behaving as parents are posted for group involvement.
The Toronto Feminist Mothers meet once a month at a mother's home, with a member volunteering each month to host.
